Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 August 2026
1. Who We Are
This policy is issued by DisruptOne ("DisruptOne", "we", "us", "our"), of 34c Prince Alaba Abiodun Oniru Alaba Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, DisruptOne is the data controller for personal data collected through this website (www.disruptone.com).
2. Scope
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It applies only to www.disruptone.com. It does not cover any third-party sites we may link to, and we encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external site before submitting information to it.
3. The Data We Collect
This site is intentionally simple, and so is the data it collects. We do not currently use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. We collect:
Information you submit directly, through the contact form on our Contact page: name, company, role, email address, telephone number, country, area of interest, project/service requirement and the content of your message.
Standard technical data, collected automatically by our web server for any visitor: IP address, browser type, referring page, and access timestamps, recorded in routine server logs used for security and troubleshooting.
4. How and Why We Use Your Data
We process the data above on the following legal bases:
To respond to your enquiry (legitimate interest, and performance of any resulting discussion or engagement you initiate with us) — this is the only purpose for which contact-form data is used. It is sent by email to our team and is not added to any marketing list, automated workflow, or third-party CRM.
To keep the website secure and working correctly (legitimate interest), using standard server logs.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We do not use your data for marketing unless you separately opt in to receive it, and we do not currently send marketing communications of any kind.
5. Who We Share Data With
Contact-form submissions are delivered by email via our website hosting provider's mail service, and held in our team's email inbox. We do not share your data with any other third party except where required by law, or where necessary to protect our legal rights.
6. International Transfers
Our website hosting infrastructure may process data outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data continues to receive an equivalent standard of protection.
7. Data Retention
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to and resolve the matter you contacted us about, and for a limited period afterward for our own record-keeping — ordinarily no longer than 24 months from your last contact with us, unless a longer period is required by law or by an ongoing engagement between us.
8. Cookies
This website does not currently set analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes — for example, if we add analytics in future — we will update this section and, where required by law, request your consent first.
9. Your Rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and applicable regulations issued under it, you have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you;
Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
Request erasure of your data, where we have no continuing lawful basis to keep it;
Object to, or request restriction of, certain processing;
Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent; and
Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), or the relevant supervisory authority in your country, if you believe your data has been mishandled.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 11. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
10. Security
This site is served over HTTPS, and our contact form includes basic safeguards against automated spam submission. As a new company, we do not yet hold formal third-party security certifications; we will update this section if and when that changes, consistent with how we present our capability elsewhere on this site.
11. Contact
Questions about this policy, or requests relating to your data, can be sent to info@disruptone.com, or by post to the address in Section 1.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our website, tools or legal obligations change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
